Is there a difference between DVD+R and DVD-R?
I've always got DVD+Rs in the past and looking to buy some more.
Does anyone have any recomendations of where to get some at a good price?
I want 25 or 50 depending on price
Thanks

Yes, there is a difference - the file structure is different, and ~some~ DVD burning software will only cope with one or the other - so if you've already had success with DVD+R then I'd stick with that.
These days you should be Ok with any of the leading brands, though I've bought Infiniti (who?) inkjet printable ones a lot recently from 7dayshop.com and had no problems.0 -
Generally speaking, DVD -R s are the main ones to use. But as above, if they work for you then stick to them
Personally I use either DATAWRITE TITANIUMS or TDKs
When burning dual layers you need dvd +rs (else it cant set the layer skip):idea:0 -
My DVD recorder/player needs -RWs formatted whereas +RWs don't need formatting. Don't know if that's relevent or not.A fool may give advice but the one who takes it is the bigger fool.0

DVD-Rs are more likely to be compatible with standalone DVD players, but I seem to remember that DVD+Rs have slightly better error-checking/checksum capabilities, reducing their capacity fractionally, but increasing their resilience.
There's a discussion about the differences here: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/22790
