What consumer rights do i have when buying a house that has had a fridge/freezer supplied by the previous owner was new and less than 6 months old and is now faulty

    Consumer rights none but the manufacturers warranty might be transferable.

    did you pay for it as part of the deal. Was it in the fixtures and fittings list with a price associated with it? If so your solicitor should have asked for any applicable warranty left on it.

    You're better to ask this question in the House Buying,Renting,Selling part of the forum as there are a few solicitors in there that deal with the specifics of sales and the rights of the buyer/seller. I'm sure one of them would have experienced something similar at some point.

    try to provide a bit more information though, the information i have requested would be a start (its what they will ask you anyway).

    Normally, there is a set period of time during which the seller of the house is still liable, this is stipulated in the contract when selling/buying. I've seen 7 days in such contracts before.

    You need to talk to your solictor about this.
