    Disclaimer

This information about the law is designed to help users safely cope with their own legal needs. But legal information is not the same as legal advice -- the application of law to an individual's specific circumstances. Although I go to great lengths to make sure my information is accurate and useful, I recommend you consult a lawyer if you want professional assurance that my information, and your interpretation of it, is appropriate to your particular situation.

What is it with you and these silly disclaimers? Are you a lawyer or a trawler? All I can see is posts from you that are copies of other posts on various other forums, you're not actually giving any advice whatsoever - you're just quoting different parts of law that really makes little to no sense thus your disclaimer implies you're a smart arsey - but clearly you're just trying to be one?

Get rid of it will you, or at least give some people legal advice and stop cutting/pasting stuff from other forums (legal beagles being the main one!)...

Can I ask - maybe you're aware of this, maybe not, have you considered the fact we'll be joining the EU Directive in June which will, in more ways than one, change the way lenders and CRA's operate - therefore all these rants about CRA's really doesn't add up - surely you knew this, right?
Remember in June (2010) we will end up conforming to the EU Consumer Credit Directive (EUROPA - Consumer Affairs - Rights - Financial services) which will change the way things work - basically they are saying lenders MUST start to do a credit search before granting credit to comply with Responsible Lending. Ergo, they are basically giving the CRA's carte blanche!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news like

One good thing to note though, apparently (just a rumour) the Europeans only have credit data stored for 3 years as opposed to 6 which would be great for all the guys currently defaulted over here. I don't quite know what to make of this Directive, however things have got to change - whether for the good or bad, something has to give.

Also, see here for the Berr Report (interesting read): http://www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/cons...page29927.html

I fully understand the law thanks - especially when you're going on about the CCA and CRA's - thus I am questioning what input you're actually providing - other than copying stuff from other forums...?

    Question too hard?
