Already sick of the phone calls!

Started my DMP on 1st Feb, paid my money to CCCS. Got a phone call today from the halifax, had a mexican stand-off while I refused to give any security details until they told me what it was about (and vice versa). They gave me a number which I rang.
Got hold of a woman who can only be described as miserable. I hope for her sake she isn't like that all the time.
She demanded mobile and work numbers which I refused to give on the basis that they got hold of me easy enough on my home number!
She said I had broken my arrangement because no money had been paid to them.
She put on a good act of not knowing about how CCCS payments work. She'd grudgingly put me back onto a 6 month arrangement whereas I had been on a 12 month one! Hopefully that won't affect things long term.
It's really cheesed me off, I suppose I must expect more of the same until things settle down and they start seeing the money.

Pressed send before I finished!
Am I right in thinking I am only oblidged to give them one phone number? Or do I not have to give them any phone numbers?0 -
You dont have to give ANY numbers at all , they only need one way of contacting you , and that can be your address0
-
Hold tight, the calls will stop but it will take a while, you don't have to answer your phone, after a call just dial 1471 to find out who phoned and call them back if need be or you could get a caller display and only answer calls from numbers you no , it will get easier I promise x0

If and when creditors phone again , just give them your CCCS ref number,PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT NERD #869

They'll get a 6 monthly review from CCCS anyway.
Dont get into any conversations with Creditors now that you are on a dmp. Just tell them that they should discuss with CCCS.
:D stay wonky

Nothing at all, just keep saying "I'm on a DMP with CCCS and here is the number"?
Sounds easy, bit like sticking to name, rank and number when you get captured!
I'm good at repeating the same thing until the other party gets bored (I have small children and I am mainly the bad cop).0 -
I changed my home phone number, cancelled my mobile contract and I told them personal calls weren't allowed at work. Most home phone providers will allow you one number change free of charge. Funnily enough, I spoke to one of my creditors yesterday asking for a balance as I'm nearing the end of my plan and they tried to get up-to-date phone numbers from me, despite the fact that I've maintained and increased the original agreed payment over the years.0

As an earlier poster has mentioned your creditors only need your address in order to be able to contact you.
My OH had a similar problen with M & S who were phoning our home but also his work 2 and 3 times a day which was becoming embarrassing.
In the end I used a template letter from this site re: harrassing by phone and sent it off and, not long after he received an apologetic letter which said they were removing phone numbers held and, any further contact would be by letter only.
We did however, also change our phone number and if we need to phone our creditors withold our number when we call.
