A friend of mine bought some concert tickets - £60 each - three tickets. Got her money back off the company even though, in effect, it was three seperate items.
She was worried about this at the time but the CC company didn't bat an eyelid.

Also it could also hinge on how the boots were advertised. If it just said Ugg rather than 'genuine Ugg' then that can be construed as the style of boot and that is what the OP received. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Agreed, the company have theoretically got a 'get out' but it doesn't mean they will use it, expecially if they have the opportunity to charge it back to the retailers merchant account.0 -

I'd disagree, the term 'genuine Ugg' means nothing, if the OP bought them from a website/company that 'appeared' to be based in a country where Ugg is trademarked ie: the UK
http://www.celtic-sheepskin.co.uk/about-us/ugg-boots/
Then she could reasonably expect to receive 'Ugg' boots, however if she bought them from an Australian website (for example) where the Ugg trademark has lapsed any 'Ugg style' boots could reasonably be described as 'genuine Ugg'0 -

That is currently the vital bit of information that we don't have. It would be really helpful if OP named the siteThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Care to settle the discussion Jen?,
also in the event that the website is EU, make sure you contact them to request a refund within 7 days, if they are selling fakes doubt they'll reply, however this will also give you the opportunity to chase your CC company for the goods having being misold and also hold them liable for your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations0 -

Hi again, sorry I didn't name the website because I didn't know if I was allowed to here! It is UGGs-AustraliaUK.com
I am really frustrated, I have been holding out for a reply from the company, yet nothing has come through to my email.....Suprise suprise.
I will give it another day or two and then I will contact Vanquis....I cant believe I have been so stupid.... should have guessed really, as they were so cheap!

The link you provided is not even a valid site...anyway, I doubt the retailer will even reply to you. Better contact your bank instead and see what your options are.smiler03xxx wrote: »Hi again, sorry I didn't name the website because I didn't know if I was allowed to here! It is UGGs-AustraliaUK.com
