Ryanair cancel and rebook?

They've just changed my Ryanair flight again. I have the option to cancel, but on checking their website I find I can get the same flight for half of what I originally paid.
Has anyone tried cancelling and re-booking at the cheaper rate? I know there are seats available, and would check again before cancelling the original booking, obviously.
Normal people worry me.

  • I would re-book first to make sure you get the seats, and then cancel. I don't see why not.
  • I have done this before, no problem

  • Many thanks, I'll give that a go then!

If Ryanair make a significant change to the flight you can cancel with no penalty.
    Gone ... or have I?
  • dmg24's right. They changed the outgoing flight from 06.30am to 18.50pm, and also the incoming flight was changed - that gives me the right to cancel without charge.
I can save £40 by cancelling and rebooking and that serves 'em right for taking a day out of my holiday!
