yes but you need to check when the high/low tariff break points are and look at standing charges and compare based roughly on your individual useage.
someone phoning you up and and telling you "I'm cheaper sign up with me" without ALL this information is not necessarily lying to you but they don't actually have enough information to be able to tell one way or the other.
ADVICE: get yourself onto a switching/comparison site, work out which tariff IS actually cheapest for you and switch (preferably via a cashback site).0
