GE Money Car Finance

Hello all,

I'm getting into this reclaiming lark now!! I have just sent my first letter to Black Horse, details on another thread. I have now begun to wonder if a car loan I settled back in April 2008 had PPI included.

The problem is, since I split up from my partner I have lost all my old paperwork and the ONLY piece of correspondence I have is a 'Certificate of Completion' for agreement no xxxxxxx........so I at least have that number!!!

The finance was arranged through Accept Car Credit over the telephone and was provided by GE Capital Finance Ltd, who later became just GE Money (I believe)

I think the car was about 5000 but the total loan was near 10000, not certain about all that, my question is; How can I go about retrieving a copy of the original agreement and any other documentation and where/who do I apply to?

The Certificate letter has GE Money on the heading and an address PO Box 109, Leeds, LS27 0YY. There is a telephone number for customer service which is 0870 606 4321, I googled it and its for GE Capital Woodchester based in Ireland.

At the foot of the letter is the Registered address of 6 Agar Street, London WC2N 4HR.

Sorry to ramble for so long, any help and advice would be massively appreciated.

Regards

Graham

You can just write to them and ask for the agreement although as the account is settled they do not have to provide it to you under the CCA BUT you can request a SAR from them. This is all the information they hold usually going back 6 years (although some have got documents going back further) and they have 40 days to provide it. It does however cost you £10. There is a template here

    Thanks for your reply Marshallka,

Should I send the SAR to the registered address i.e. 6 Agar Street?
