Is there any way to work around my problem.

My problem being my 12 month BT phone and broadband deal runs out in the flat I am in in April. I assume to cancel this I need to get in touch with them in the next week or so to give them the 30 or 31 day notice to cancel my contract or it will auto-renew for another 12 months. My problem is that in mid-May I am moving out of my flat due to my work contract running out. I would ideally like to have the internet and phone line in the flat until the end of May so once I do leave my job I can spend the time I have searching for new work and because I have Sky I need to keep my phone line active. I could move to Sky and take the base package which means I'll pretty much just have an £12 line rental bill but that will be for a further 12 months too. Is there any way I can work around the situation so I can keep my phone line and broadband until I leave the flat in May without entering a new 12 month deal?

Cancel the bt contract and go onto the one month free weekend calls option so no 12 month contract there.
Look here http://www.broadbandgenie.co.uk/deals/no-contract-broadband not sure if they are what you are looking for as they either seem to have a set up cost or a high monthly fee but it may work out ok. An alternative could be going for a 12 month contract but mobile broadband so that you "take it with you " when you move so to speak.

Thanks, I'll take a look at that and try and work out what will be best for me.0
