I have some horrid stains on my kids clothes! Can anyone advise?

I have a few stains on my boys clothes that I have been desperately trying to rid and have tried Vanish, Ace Bleach, sunlight, and Fairy Liquid (my MIL swears by it neat, does sometimes work but not on the current stains...)
The stains have been there for a while now, but is there anything that will remove them? I don't want to throw the clothes out, want to sell/pass on but I need these marks out and have been trying.
One mark is also oil I think, looks like its come from brushing on the side of a car and its on a white t shirt, so looks terrible! Others are just normal kids stains, odd paint splash, yellow ish stain on white t shirt, and just darker patches etc.
Has anyone got any clever ideas or am I stuck with them?

Have you tried Ariel / Ariel Gel? I find Ariel is best for getting out stains of all sorts. You could try pre-treating with a little Ariel rubbed on the stains and then putting them in the washing machine with Ariel. I've also read that others have had some success pretreating stains with Stardrops, so you could do that and then wash with Ariel perhaps?

If the weather was a bit better I would say hang them out on the line. Sun and rain over a few days can work wonders on stains not sure why lol. Trouble is the next week will probably just result in frozen clothes.

Do you know if this works with old stains? Some of these stains are old, been there a while.

I swear by napisan.
You can buy it in a baby section at a supermarket. It is normally by the sterilising things.
It works wonders. If the items have been washed and dried already since the stain has occurred, you might need to repeat it several times because the stain will have set.
If the clothes aren't delicates, then put the items (separately if too many) in a washing up bowl.
Pour over half the box, run the hot water tap to disolve and leave over night. Pop in the washing machine, as the wash cycle will remove all the napisan residue, and also help the final run of the cleaner through the clothes.
If there is still some of the stain left redo.
It is meant to be for washing nappies. If it can work for those stains, it really can work for anything.
It hasn't let me down yet!0 -
if you can find it - biotex is really good even on old stains. if not i suggest you use the cheapest bio washing powder you can find and soak in a strong solution!0
