    So the plot deepends.
Your back problem is obviously undiagnosed if your GP needs to do xrays etc. This would raise the question as to what has your Chiropractor diagnosed, their techniques and who referred you there?

To me it sounds like you havent seen your GP about these back problems and instead went direct to a chiropractor who is treating you privately.

what?! slightly judgemental don't you think?? Not a decent one wouldn't and I'd like to consider my chiropractor is very professional.

But the gym don't know that. he could be your brother or something. Or be a fake chiropractor. I expect people get up to all kinds of dodges to get out of gym contracts.
  • Hi - just a quick note from Gymophobics. We do aim to turn around any communication from our members within 2 weeks, and we always respond to any queries. This has to be formalised in writing as it is the only process whereby we can ensure a written, formalised approach is adhered to. Most gyms have a blanket 'no cancellation policy' where they will pretty much ignore any request that comes through (where a contract has been entered into). We value our members more than that and look at everything in merit. We understand that on occasion due to sickness and through no fault of their own, the member is unable to continue to use our services. However as per the postings above, we do need to ensure that any cancellations are supported by a doctors note validating the claim. All cancellations are at our discretion and this is our legal right having been very up front during the selling process. But we do try and be fair at all times. We won't post any further notes to this site, but we do hope that gives some clarity around the situation. Many thanks.

OK - the letter was on headed paper - with all the companies details. Of course it was real. As I said before not everybody is dis-honest and trying to be dodgy!

Hope you get it sorted OP. Ignore Anihilator. You will find that he/she cannot ever be constructive but only seeks to introduce unproven speculation and antagonism into situations.

Must be very lonely or bored.

Fair enough, I am genuine and will be seeing my doctor and will be writing with the results. Either way it will get sorted I am sure.
