Just received a letter from vm increasing prices from 1st April. As usual their own way there is not much information in the letter. Already fed up with vm for their billing system.

This recession why do they want to do this.

How long are people still going to try and use "with this recession....." excuse everytime a company does something they don't like! I thought it had ended?
  • From what I as a virgin customer understand the increases are very small & depending what package you have may not even change, I have considered leaving them but when I add up the phone rental tv channels & broadband nothing seems to come close, if anyone finds different do let us all know :-)

Still got myself a great deal with Virgin, not going to be going for an extra few quid a month. The amount my bills are, I'd hardly notice anyway.

Sky put there prices up all the time as well. The XL TV pack works out much better value than Sky's 6 Mix pack even after the price increase.
  • Hi folks, just received my letter from them today. I've been wanting to cancel my contract with them for about 5 months, they made me sign up to a full 12 months when i changed address, or face paying for 4 months of the remainder of the previous property's contract.

After realising the price hike, i was wondering, am i able to cancel my contract early as i did not sign up to paying the extra few pounds a month?

    Cheers
  • I am on a very large package with them (£74 pcm) and was going to leave them and then I was convinced to stay with the offer of a V+ HD box.

So now I am in another 12 month contract will these prices effect me I take it they will but I'm not sure ?. I think I would / will face a £3 increase a month.

Wow, by my reckoning, its a £2.49 a month increase, as we don't use the phone much anyway, think I am really gonna have to do some belt tightening so we can afford it!

Hmmm... Two consecutive quaters of shrinkage to get into recession, but a single quater of minuscule artificially catalysed growth, and the masses are led to believe we are all good! Far from it.

Wait until the later on today. My money is on a double (deeper) dip. We're up !!!! creek, but Gordon Brown, will tell you otherwise.

Because the Virgin Media are running a charitable cause, which leads them to do the wise thing, by knowingly running their business at a loss or on Knifes edge.

Vote with your feet if your not happy or change your packages.

Because they, too, have tired of you and want to force you to switch away from their business.

    Can't blame them, tbh.
