Me and my bright ideas!!
Honestly, you should have just walked out of there, pretty woman style, saying 'big mistake, BIG mistake!' and gone somewhere else. You should be treated well as this is a massive deal to a bride.:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
i dont know if all shops do it, i only knew because they had me down as a rush job and i queried this £95 charge - it was only then that i was informed that it was for wedding dresses that need to be here in less than 6 months, so i siad its only january im not getting married till august, thats more than 6 months away, they had me down as april.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

It is sooooo nerve wracking ordering from Landy! Every day I was counting down the days to when it was due to be despatched.
I am totally satisfied with my dress and the work that has gone into it is amazing . So please do not panic! I have dealt with Ivan and Lucy and both are very helpful people. It was despatched bang on time in the tiniest "bag" and arrived via DHL within 5 days - so impressive
What dress have you ordered? You will recieve it in plenty of time, and if you are getting custom made size wise will only need minor alterations if any!

Hi There,
I ordered a Mother of the Bride outfit from Landybridal in January and they told me it would be here middle of March, extra time required due to Chinese new year. It hadn't arrived by the beginning of April so, after a few e-mails they told me "it will be sent tonight." It arrived here a few days later and it looked as though it had been thrown together in a rush. However, the biggest disappointment, there was a hole in the material so it wasn't fit for purpose. I took digital pictures and emailed them to Landybridal and they said they would make another one. I wanted my money back but they kept insisting they would make another "better" one. I reluctanly agreed and then I got a mail from them asking for another 50 Euro for postage. I refused, asked for my money back and they have consistantly refused to respond to any mails I send them. If I was you, or anyone else for that matter, be very very careful dealing with Landybridal0 -
I think you'll find that you can please everyone some of the time, but you can't please everyone all of the time. In every walk of life you'll get someone who isn't satisfied with a service. You had the experience with a bridal shop. Someone else will say how marvelous they were.
With Landy you pay your money you take the chance, like everything you get over the internet. My daughter ordered a Little Brown Bag for £10 (no idea how much the genuine ones are) When it came it was green.
Everyone has a different 'satisfaction' threashold. In my line of work, mine is very high!
I'm sure everything will be fine.0 -

I think it's great to come accross and offer you experience but what we have here is a bride who is very worried about her order. I feel that this will more than likely make matters worse for her.
I'm a dressmaker and have seen some 'bad' experiences just as I have read about positive ones. The thing which I am sceptical about is their 'best quality' fabrics. I deal with fabrics all of the time so I know what it a poor quality to a best or superiour quality.
My advice would be to source dressmakers. I completed a wedding dress in 11 days. Ok, I was under extreme pressure but you don't always have to accept the '6 month' waiting period.0
