    FP sent over the weekend are always dated for Monday unless its a bank holiday then it will be a Tuesday.

    The point I was getting at is that although they did get into FP quickly, as you inferred. They still insist on promoting confusion by putting the wrong date on FP payments on non-working days. For what reason?

    If a make a FP into Halifax then, unsurprisingly to me, it gets the date it hit the account. Whether that be Saturday / Sunday or Christmas Day.
    If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !

    reading some posts on the forum if you send a FP from Halifax it may or may not go through whether it be sat/sun/christmas day or indeed a working day it's like a lucky dip.

    In answer to your question I would think it is due to sat/sun not being a working day.
