Sorting out rust on a white van
Options
Easiest way to do this? Just to neaten the appearance a bit so having it for another year is a bit more bearable! Anyway im thinking sand down rust patches to start with then find out a decent paint to use. Doesnt have to be anything fancy just touch it up cheap if possible.
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

well said spanners, i had a '94 white artra with rust on the arches, no holes tho. but before the primer, i also used a compound which would reverse the oxidation process, so the slow reappearance of rust wouldnt occur.
tho i did this because of my half arsed job on the other stages!Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000

In theory it does not require priming! The VW camper guys are using it and there is also a few threads on the Transit (Camper) forum http://fordtransit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=42941
The last link has a guy re-painting his Transit from start to finish0
