Ive had a carpet laid from carpet right, around 2 weeks now.I noticed when it was laid on currently now, thread marks through the middle of the floor. The carpet fitters said this would calm down within days, well no it has not.So got on to carpet right and they sent one of there people round, they were a bit angry that the fitters laid it and to ring them in a couple of days. What should i demand a new carpet ? or ?

Demand? Yes, if you like.
Just tell them that the carpet is faulty and you would like it replaced with one that isn't faulty.0 -
Why demand anything yet? At the moment you have brought a problem to the attention of the store, they have said give them a couple of days (they may want to speak to the fitting team who may have a day off or the inspector may need to speak to his manager who may not be in until then), and then contact them. Now when you contact them, on say Wednesday, give them a chance to say what they are going to do, they may well turn round and say "when do you want the replacement fitted", you had to damand nothing, and got what you want.
On the other hand be clear in your mind about what you want, I used to work in the business, and had an interesting problem with one client. There was a fault in the carpet, we were happy to replace it, but it had taken the clients months to arrange a fitting date after we had got the carpet, this meant that we could not match the shade, the fault was in a place that would be covered by a chest of drawers. In this case the client was happy to accept some cash, as otherwise there would be a shade mismatch between two rooms where the door was normally open.
Consider if you want a replacement or cash before you call them back, also give them the 2 days they have asked for, it is not unreasonable.
Of course all bets are off if they won't do anythingUnless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0
