help to stop the letters...

hi,

i have moved to a new address and wescot credit services keep sending me letters regarding my debt with barclays. i have asked payplan to tell them i am in an iva but they send them every other day!!

is there a way i can stop them. no other creditor sends them but these persist. surely the iva court agreement would stop them? can i tell tehm myself or would that makes things worse?

Thnaks for any advice in advance!
:)

You might be able to get a template letter you could slightly alter from the Debt Free Wannabe forum...

DCA are not allowed to hassle you like this (even if you weren't in an IVA). Contact them yourself from a with-held number and politely tell them to cease and desist.

Had a wee duke for a template letter there myself, but it's probably easier if you just ask for one!

    Hi,
I find that when I do get letters I do what you should never do and ring the oiks up :D And then say (for the umpteenth time) "I am in an IVA with xxxx and my reference number is xxxx" - they then have to go away and have a look on their system and usually come back with "Sorry yes we do have those details" and hang up on me :D
If you don't want to ring them then a letter may be ok but they usually don't register this - just put on your grrrr voice and stand your ground!
