Help! used card to purchase a £27 membership of a website, so far over £1000 has gone

    You need to carefully check the terms and conditions on the website, but it sounds like a scam. If you brought it on a credit card you should be protected, debit cards are another matter and you will usually have to take it up with the retailer.
    You problem will be trying to get ahold of them, so getting help from the bank is really where you want to go with this.
    Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

    Least the fellas being honest about what type of site it is, he could have made up it was some sort of game site so lets leave the !!!!!! comments alone.

    Suggest you contact your bank's fraud department, I did when someone tried to commit fraud on my account and I had the money refunded immediately by my bank and a new card sent to me. I had to sign a form giving details of the transactions I disputed and any info I thought could help the investigation.
