Hi all,
My sister has asked me to have a look at her laptop, i'm no expert by far anyway, she has recently wiped it and but it back to factory settings and now the keyboard has gone haywire, example press j u get 7, backspace is = when u press s a search box appears 1,2 u get nothing at all and various other things.
I,ve made sure that she set keyboard to UK and that seems fine, no filter keys are on or sticky keys, i thought i would try to do a repair with the recovery disc and can't get into it, if i press f10 it just loads up as normal, press f12 i get the screen saying 1 hdd 2 3 cd/ dvd if i press enter on any of these it just boots up as normal.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know, becaue i'm baffled.

It could be that you have 'num lock' set. Try pressing the num lock button to see if that helps. Most laptops have a numeric keypad layout on the main keyboard although I cant say i've ever used it!Useful is beautiful0
