This guy is raising money to buy a replacement car - his 307 has been defective since new and Peugeot/their dealers are refusing/unable to repair it. He is proposing to have the car crushed (after raising enough to buy a new car), return the scrap to the dealer and donate any surplus cash to charity.

    Poor bloke.

Not the first instance though - I had a friend at one of my old workplaces who had one of the early 307s... after two years, the exhaust went. Peugeot took over 12 weeks to source a replacement, stating that they were "not common parts to replace on a two year old car"... hmmm.

A colleague of mine had a 206CC and the exhaust and cat failed at about 2 years old. They told her it was a consumable and she would have to pay the £700 replacement cost. In this case she was French and quite fiesty, but living in the UK. Not being one to take these things lightly when next in Paris she "popped" into PSA and made her feelings clear in person. She left with a cheque....................

My sister-in-law had a 307,and it spent more time in the dealers, than it did on her drive.

She sold it,and bought a VW,and has had no problems with the German marque.

    Ken.
That's my mutt in the picture above.
