Good deal on new Nintendo DSi XL

Although being of the older generation I bought a DS lite over two years ago. Used it a lot on holidays etc. I did find the screen a little tad small so when I saw that there was to be a new one, a DSi XL with a larger screen coming out in March I went into my local Game shop. I put £20 deposit down for a pre-order (5th March) and was told that if I brought in my old DS lite I would get £60 off the DSi XL. I did (complete with original box and Charger) and have been credited . I reckon a very good deal on an old DS lite. So now waiting to collect my new one. What do they do with the second hand old ones?
