in Credit cards
Hi all
I have a vanquis cc, its the only one i have, and i have no other debts according to my credit file.
Over the last couple of months Vanquis have failed to send me my statement, and every time i call them they tell me to contact the post office, well i know the postal system inside out, so i know its not their fault. so they charged me £12 for been over and £12 for been a day late, as i really wanted to check something on my statement, as the fraud team rang a couple of weeks prior.Well who would want to pay for someone elses stuff?
However the point been the statement didnt come and i refused to pay it before a statement arrived,
Im going to have to drop my stiff upper lip and pay it , so is there anyway i can get back these charges? iv'e only had the card about 18months

Having a late payment showing on your credit report is not going to look good at all. Why not set up a direct debit?0

Martin - why aren't you looking at your statements on-line.
I don't get anything on paper and check it all online.0 -

Rumour has it that they will from march onwards? A software issue prevented it going live at the same time as being able to pay online came on the go.0 -
ok, sorry. I didn't know that.
You could make a formal complaint and ask for your money back. It will cost them a lot in staff time to deal with you, so they may well give up.
However you could have done everything you needed to do over the phone even though it woudl have been a bit of a pain.
You could have asked them to read out your transactions and tell you the payment date and amount etc.0 -
