PPI Option Box checked Yes Halifax

Just been checking some paperwork for a Halifax loan and it seems the agreement they sent me has the PPI option box pre-checked in the Yes box.

Does this have any relevance on a claim?

Yes it does it is now not seen as Good Practice to do this. They were expecting you to have to opt out if you did not want it. I would write to them.

How did you apply for the loan? Is the pre checked box a typed tick?
  • Yes the yes box had a pre-checked printed X in the box, not hand written.
