When a storm comes in off the sea I live in fear that the patio style doors will blow in and crush her....so does she.
Is she a nice person fc? For some reason I read the above and mentally stepped into The Wizard of Oz.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Actually, I will confess to this thread..I am really getting lax with housework. I like no clutter but clean all the time.
Derelict cottage is now so cluttered up with work I don't have a nice 'feng shui' place to sit.
Our bedroom is an inner room (quite big) but the windows look out through the sunlounge to the sea. It was the one room I kept 'feng shui'. Old french walnut antique bed, parquet florrs, no clutter. White and dark wood.
I just stacked up 15 huge plastic storage boxes of stock against the plain white wall...so my only refuge is now polluted with work too.0 -
Man...I fell a bit better now. It was chicken fajita style thingys with leftover (organic of course) chicken, peppers, onions garlic and a sprinkle of taco something from a packet and tinned toms. ........served with guacamole, soured cream and wholemeal wraps and salad.
I had beans on toast. 0 -
I hate the clean up before the wife comes back from a trip. While she is away I use minimal stuff, avoid any messy activities such as eating, and then spend what seems to me ages making the place spick and span. Whereupon she harrumphs and points out the total deranged and sad mess both me and the house have managed to get into.
tbh if she were to go away for more than a couple of days I'd fall apart.
edit: Top rule is no pets must die through lack of care while she's away.
I love it when the OH goes away :j  :A
And i always try and have it tidier then before she left

Tonight I had prawns (as instructed by wageslave) and some salad.
I used to love prawns. That was until the day when I was eating a prawn mayo sarnie and bit into a piece of prawn shell. It puts you off them for life. Same as biting into a piece of egg shell in an egg mayo. :mad:0 -

my DD sleeps in the upstairs room...it's to die for. Large and looks out over the marina and to the sea uninterrupted view, OH laid white + hint of blue laminate (I know, I know
...but it's seaside shabby chic) and she has a raised oak plaform under said patio doors (which lead onto a flat roof).
When we moved in the carpet was dark red, covered in stains and threadbare in places. We had it cleaned but waste of time really..so he laid a floating floor on top and we will remove it when we leave.
My neighbour died at Xmas and she knew the mother of the LL ...they have owned it since the 40's...and done nothing to it since either.
It's a summer house really. It's to die for in the summer.....but Oct - April...forget it. It's just such a drudge.0
