Cometcurser virus

Hiya all

I keep getting this hightlighted as potential spyware, up my my norton virus scanner (with bt yahoo broadband) every now and again. The virus scanner sorts it out but then I get it again. Two websites I visited the other day (furniture nothing dodgy!) had two pop ups that opened in another window both for gambling websites. I wondered how they had got through my pop up blocker and wonder if these websites have been infected by this spyware?

Strange.
I love this site

Goto add/remove programs in control panel.

Do you see comet curser in there? If you do remove it.

This sounds to me like it's happening over and over again. That shouldn't be. There seems to be something on your machine that's trying to load this malware (probably a rogue .exe file).

I urge you to follow BT's advice ... work through the scanners etc. in the first 4 posts to the thread he mentions. It will not only help ID what's going on in your computer but help clear out hidden stuff too.

I assure you it's well worth the effort.
