ravenheat csi 85 problem

ravenheat csi 85 problem?

hello,
my ravenheat csi 85 has just developed a little issue .
What happens is when the ch is off i turn on a hot water tap and the burner kicks in and heats the water ok but as soon as i turn on the cold water tap the burner turns off. my cold water supply is producing 20 liters a minute, hot water on its own is pumping out 9 liters a minute and when the cold water is turned on the hot water drops to 7 liters a minute. Any one have any ideas, is it liable to be a blocked diverter or secondary heat exchanger?thx in advance

    I'm guessing :) but...

The boiler might be starved of water, 20 lpm aint a lot especially when the boiler is fitted with a 'flow restrictor' the running of the cold tap could take priority of the flow, there will be less restriction on it. Low mains water pressure?

    Hi

That appears to be a heat only boiler.
Whatever it is , maybe it was only ever intended to give 9 ish l/m.

Yes it should give 9 l/m but what i ment to say is its only a flow of 9 l/m the combi isn't actually firing to heat that flow up. Thx for the replys tho :)
