iPhone 3GS & the 3 Network?

Does or has anyone had an iphone work on the 3 network?
I know it would have to be unlocked 'jailbroken' but would it work. I am fed up waiting for 3 to get it themselves so I am going down the route of a PAYG model and then unlocking it. My current contract offers too much for little cost to ditch and switch sides.

According to these guys you can AvForums .
Just to let you know unlocking and jailbreaking are two different things.
Jailbreak = apps not authorised by apple, changing the home screen etc
Unlocked = able to use different phone sims
After looking at Jailbreaking the con's outweighted the pro's for me, mainly voiding the warranty and the small chance of breaking the phone permanently.
My iphone is unlocked to all networks o2 unlock for free here's the link , don't think other network providers do the same yet.0 -
I knew there was more changes with Jailbreaking, just didn't know there was an alternative to make it sim free.New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0

I don't think 3 will be getting the IPhone as the 3 network is classed as the lowest network provider.0

The problem with unlocking, is it's a cat and mouse game, you unlock then Apple bring out new update, you update and iphone becomes unlockable again,
With the current firmware version the Iphone is unlockable0 -
my mate has one on 3 and he has no problem with it...:)0
