Franke Piltus tap failure

Does any one on the site have experience of Pilatus Powerstream taps?
I've had one fitted in my kitchen for the past 4 years and the ceramic cartridge has just failed again for the 4th time. :mad:

I've tried searching the internet for problems with this tap and can find nothing.

I'm now looking for evidence of more failures to gather my case against Franke.

I would say you have enough evidence for a complaint with a (verifiable with a paper trail??) history of using a cartridge per year. The use of anecdotal evidence from other sources in your "case", particularly from t'internet, won't impress them one iota I would have thought.

the ceramic cartridge in my hot tap failed on at least 4 occasions i phoned franke and they sent out replacements every time. around 4 years ago i put a cold cartridge in the hot tap and have had no problems since with the ceramic disc , i dont know why this should be but it may be something you could try

Thanks for the suggestions. I have already been in touch with Franke on a previous occasion and they were useless. Basically saying they have no problems reported to them.

If the parts company won't replace it under warranty then I'll have to find out the CEO name of Franke and start pestering them!

I only have the option of one cartridge as its a monobloc single lever tap.
