Bath filler shower and valve deck confusion

I am getting in a right muddle about all these things.

I am after a concealed shower head that comes out of the wall. Also, one of the wee hand held ones. Then the bath needs filling so I was thinking one of those over flow things - are they any good ?

Then can I get a 3 way valve thing to do all these . Is this what I am looking for?

Would this be o.k or is it better to have the shower on seperate valve things to the bath.
It is a shower bath. Not seen one of the filler from over flow things in action before. Is there much that can go wrong with these set things?
Sorry just really confused.

Yes they are fine. Fitted several over the last couple of years with no problems.

Something like this would be fine but shop around.

Its personal preference really. Form an installation POV having all the valves in one place makes foe easier piping.

    See above.

Don't apologise. Its what this forum is for.

This is the set up that we have. We have the triple valve on the bath with a bath filler and the concealed shower handset on the bath. The only problems we have had with it have been airlocks as we have very poor pressure but this has been solved by putting a pump onto it which to be fair is much better anyway.

Oh Thanks. And yes that is what I am looking for becs. Wonderful picture - sums it up nicely - very tidy.

So do you think that one on ebay is pants? I am having real trouble finding what I am looking for on bathroom sites. Or do I need to buy the bits seperately and not as a 'pack'.
Is one make as good as the other? I am so bad at making decisions...

Can I still have a big over the head shower with the three thing on the wall??

    So a hand held shower
    big shower and
bath filler on off three controls?

Also, the hand held thing, is it a problem having the pipe bits under the bath?? Incase of leaks??

Well it is not a flexi hose thing - just thinking if the kids pull it a bit or if it starts leaking under the bath? cause its not atcually a pipe that sits there - its a shower with wobbly bendy bits. Not the best techincal terms!!

Rainhead showers are all very well in theory but you need a prodigious flow rate to make them operate anywhere near like the brochures suggest. If you have an open vented system that means sufficient hot and cold water storage that neither run out plus a serious pump attached. If you are on a mains system the system must be able to cope!! You may be looking at a bigger upgrade than you think for one of these puppies.

Look at the diagrams on the listing. You have two diverter valves. One for shower / bath and the top one for handheld / rainhead shower selection.

Not sure what you mean. The pipes for the overflow filler will be flexible but they are out of reach under the bath. The pipe that feeds the handheld elbow will be within the wall. The only bit the kids can tug on is the hose that connects the elbow to the shower head. Even if they pull that off if the diverter valves aren't set up to allow water to flow through that route then it won't!

I'm pretty sure the 3 valve wouldn't work like that as we have the 3 valve. 1 is for the bath, 1 for the handheld shower and 1 for the temperature. We have a seperate shower which also has a 3 valve on it as we were going to have body jets as well as the overhead shower but we changed our minds so 1 of the valves is not used. I think if you have an overhead shower over the bath you would need a 4 way valve so you operate them all seperately.
We bought all ours from Bathstore. They are crosswater valves which seem to be ok.

It is not necessarily the same as yours. Seller also has a two way valve (which would be like yours in effect) listed but with three controls. Are you saying that the seller is misrepresenting his product?

    I concur. Crosswater are fine.
