  • I'm another advocate of bio-oil and palmers cocoa butter. Works a dream, and has also helped a few horrendous scars I have too!

Used baby oil all over and didn't get a stretch mark, but like most I think it's more likely to do with your own skin. But a wee bit of extra moisture can't hurt can it?

  • I used products containing almonds - so bubble bath, shower gel, body lotion etc and fortunately I didnt get any stretch marks with both pregnancies - think i read somewhere that almonds can help increase elasticity i may be wrong though

Be proud of them if you do get them, they are your battle scars and proof of being a woman

  • Just to say Boots have £3 off bio oil at the minute for the big bottle, just in case you're thinking about it OP

Just because you got them in puberty doesn't mean you will get them in pregnancy! I haven't had babies yet but i have 3 friends who had the puberty ones and didn't get any in pregnancy!
They all looked after themselves though and didn't put loads of excess weight on during their pregnancies though.

If I were able to travel back in time I'd have a go at the bio oil but mostly I'd try not to put on the 4 and a half stone I gained during my first pregnancy.:o

My family seem to be stretch mark prone but in fairness we have all eaten like pigs during pregnancy and gained stupid amounts of weight for our small frames.

They do fade a little with time though. :D

Edit; I did lose all the weight in about a year.
