Uk resident wanting to open US bank account
Comments
-
I would like to comment on my recent attempt to apply for a Citibank UK-based US dollar account.
It was a complete waste of time. Even though I have an excellent financial history and several bank accounts in the UK, months passed whilst they attempted to process my application. All I received were letters that were incoherent, repeatedly asked for paperwork and information I had already provided, etc. Attempts to investigate the problems were futile as I could only communicate with call centre staff who had no idea what was happening. In the end I discovered my application had lapsed and they wanted me to re-apply.
Obviously this will not be happening. I have worked with banks worldwide and have never experienced such poor customer service.0
