Tesco clubcard and Ferries

I have rather alot of Tesco clubcard vouchers, and hope to use them for ferry tickets across to Ireland for my parents.
Our surnames are the same.
Has anyone done this, used their vouchers for someone else, or vice versa? Any problems?
I don't want to do it if it wont work!
Do they arrive with your postcode on?
And how does this affect anything regarding travelling with them?
Have tried to search for the answer, but not getting anywhere fast:o
TIA

I had a similar query on using Tesco's vouchers for someone else (RAC). I rang Tesco, and they were very helpful and told me what to do to use them for the benefit of someonelse.
I suggest you give Tesco a ring.0 -
Cannot be used for foot passengers, standard motorist fare only.0

Not sure about ringing Tesco, as it states they cannot be transfered.
I'm going try booking for them anyway.
The ferry fares to Ireland are ridiculously priced, but this is the way they have to go as they are taking the car.
I am hoping that by sharing the same surname, they wont run into any problems once they arrive at the port.
Anyone else with any advice to share?
Thanks0 -

They were really helpful when I rang, and I was able to use the deal for someone else.
I think you will find Clubcard vouchers are not transferable, but the reward tokens you receive in exchange for the vouchers can be used for a booking in any name.0 -
Update.
I rang Tesco,
who said to check with the ferry company P&O
Rang P&O,
and NO, I must travel with the party, I can't use the reward tokens for somebody else.
SO,
I have just ordered reward tokens for my own trips later in the year with Eurotunnel and Stenaline, waiting to see what is printed on them before I book the Ireland trip.
Hopefully it will just be my name and NOT my postcode.
I'm sure I have seen before that the rewards tokens have been used by family members, scout groups etc.0 -
I have just got some vouchers for Irish ferries and the only thing on them is my surname, no postcode etc. However, when I entered the tesco code for the booking, the fare was increased by £15. The 4x value quoted is not accurate.0

Got mine through today too. managed to book the tickets I wanted, online price was £210, when I rang through and booked, it was £218.
So it seems we have to order a few more Tesco vouchers than we think necessary.
Well pleased with it though0 -
Apologies for bringing up an old thread - but did you manage to use a family member's clubcard points to purchase a ferry travel voucher? My sister has loads to spare but has a different surname to me; Would we run into problems on a Stenaline booking? I guess the surname on voucher issued would be different to the names on the booking reference. I wonder if I could change passenger details once the booking had been made?0

bump!
Can you use irish ferries tokens bought with someone else's clubcard vouchers to book a trip?0 -
bump - has anyone done this0
