Glass greenhouse - safest way to get rid of it?

Hi,

The house I have just bought has come with a small glass greenhouse in the back garden, measuring roughly 6'x3'. It's in a bad state of repair, and I'd like to get rid of it.

What's the safest way to get rid of it? Are there certain types of professionals who can take it down and dispose of it appropriately?

Thanks

Freecycle it; it might be in a bad state of repair but at least give someone a chance to mend it and use it....

whats the frame made up of?
the glass can be put into a bin and taken to the tip. wear some industrial work gloves!
wood can be sawn up and burnt.
an ally frame is easy enough to cut up. use tinsnips or a hacksaw.
    Get some gorm.

I buried my glass in the floor slab of a garage I was building. I am not quite sure, but I think that I am right in saying that you cannot put window glass into a bottle bank. It probably has to be put in the skip at the amenity tip.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

You can always take the aluminium to the scrap man. He will pay you a few quid for it.

It's an aluminium frame, with a few smashed glass panels.

I'll see if anyone will Feecycle it.

    Cheers

Forget the US organisation of Freecycle, go for the UK one of Freegle.

Someone will gladly come round, dismantle & remove it for you.

Saving you money & saving the glass & frame from landfill etc.

Doubt it - not enough. The least they'll do is remove it for free but you may have to pay him to take it away. Theres no cash in small quantities of scrap metal for the likes of thee and me these days.

    Cheers
