Climbers that grow like 'wildfire'!
Hi could anybody advise me on what climbers or other to buy so i can cover my large trellis fence! I have bought clementis in the past but they either don't grow very much or die during winter! I would really like something that grows really fast and looks nice.
Any advice and where to get it from would be great.
Thanks

Passion flower's beautiful and very fast growing. I got mine form Morrisons for about £2.50 or so.
It'll spread like mad so you'll end up trimming it back now and again. But the flowers/fruit are gorgeous, really pretty.

How about a Mile a Minute plant aka Russian Vine? Some for sale on ebay. Think it may grow a bit too much though!0

Clematis armandii is evergreen providing you don't live somewhere extremely cold. Beautiful scented flowers.0

How about Golden Hop - lovely bright yellowy-green leaves and hop flowers which you can dry and use for flower arranging etc.0

How tolerant are they of clay soil? We too have moved to a garden which has a trellis fence which we would like to disguise with climbers, but the soil is very clay - any suggestions please?:hello:0

I hate my neighbours!
What will Russian vine do to them? Will they become less smug / more friendly?
(will it poison them?) Perhaps they'll decide to move
