Late cruise help. URGENT

Can anyone help? I have a friend with 2 children (aged 9 and 11) who dearly wants to go on a cruise. A disney one would be great........failing that almost anywhere really. Dates:from 12th April 2010 for 8/10 days.
Would be so grateful for any advice

Looking at the Disney Cruise site it is not showing anything until April 24th. Is it one adult or 2 and what is the budget?

Thank you Caz for the reply, it is for one adult and 2 children. Budget.........
fairly flexible as this will be a 'one off'' holiday. The dates are fixed as it includes the school break. If Disney is not available a cruise which caters for kids, ie water sports facilities, maybe to include Egypt. Any suggestions very welcome.

Might be worth having a look at the Thomson site

example: 14th April - 7 nights - Thomson Spirit - Pharaohs and Promised land B (flights to/from to Limassol)
15th April - 7 nights - Thomson Celebration - Red Sea Magic (flights to from Sharm)

not been on a Thomson cruise so might be worth checking reviews and kids activities. (both come in under £2k total even with upgrading to cabin to an outside on a higher deck)

The flights are included, you can pick a choice of dep airports
  • if you go for the Thomson cruise DO NOT pay their website price!
Call Thomas cook cruise and they will knock money off. Then call thomson and give them that quote to beat :D

  • Give cruise.co.uk or Cruise Kings a call. They are experts and can give loads of advice. If they want 8-10 days at that time they are probably going to have to fly somewhere to meet the cruise (rather than go from Southampton). Royal Caribbean and NCL are child-friendly (I much prefer the former, go for Voyager or Freedom Class ships if you want ice-skating etc). If budget is flexible and they don’t mind travelling further they could pick up a good deal on a cruise from Florida to the Caribbean at that time. Also Ocean Village are doing Eastern Med fly cruises for 1 week during April. They are not as formal and don’t have as many facilities as say Royal Caribbean, but they are laid back, child-friendly, have great itineraries and on-board prices are reasonable.

I too have to say that you will have trouble finding a cruise this late to fit in with easter, i tried back in september/october to book for this easter and all the ones i tried were already booked up for three berth. It really is only the standard two berth than can be picked up last minute and then usually in term time.

    sorry x

PS - i ended up booked for this august back in october to get a cruise to fit into school hols.
