  • It's a sad fact that we have the horrendous choice of the hapless incompetents in office now or the other party who will think nothing of putting millions more on the dole to achieve their aims.
this they did in the 80's.
    what a choice:(
  • To add one more thing i believe a hung parliament could be a good thing if this prevents obnoxious acts like the poll tax, student loans, dodgy wars etc from being passed:T

Lol I'm agreeing with you - I've always voted Tory, you're right we do need change after Labour and Gordon Brown managed to completely wreck our economy.

though, to be fair, Conservatives are more or less 100% completely hated up north ;) (believe it or not, my northern mates at university still bleat on about Maggie Thatcher and the bloody coal mines )

Wrong. I live in the North and am sat in a very popular Tory constituency!

When I have explained to people that the poles are suggesting a hung parliament and that will mean that a vote for the Lib dems is not a wasted vote, well you know where I am going, I suggest you keep that bubbly on ice icon7.gif
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher

Exactly Dave and we have the internet to coordinate voting out everyone of the sitting MPs. IMHO all the 3 major parties are the same, but it would be nice to see them fear the people for a while!

I bought two very nice Selfridges champagne flutes today and will add to the number in the next few weeks. I am still trying to decide what Champagne to buy in preparation for election night, probably Veuve Cliquot or whatever they have on offer in Selfridges.

It's like the Tory version of a tin-foiler hatter. Instead of buying cheap beans from Aldi and stocking them in cupboards, you're buying champagne from Selfridges and probably stocking it in your west-wing. :)

The weird thing is that nothing that much will change under a different government. A bit less of that here, a bit more of that there. Moving stuff from here, taking it from there, hiding other stuff over there. Societies and cultures change themselves, they aren't changed by governments.

I am building up a bit of a hatred for both Labour and Tory at the moment. All of their electioneering is getting on my nerves.

"If you vote for us we'll give you a free monkey!"
"Give us you're vote, we'll give you some shares!"
"Special offer: £9.99 holiday offer with Labour votes!"
"We'll tax hoodies and fine immigrants for bad haircuts! And give the money to poor people with babies!"
"All families will get free !!!!!! and snickers bars if you vote for us!"
"Keep us in, we'll change the election system to fit X-Factor on a Saturday night!"
"We'll cut everything! What? You don't want cuts? Oh, well, we'll cut some stuff. Is that what you want? Well, you tell me what will get you to vote for us and we'll do that. You want a pet bunny rabbit? Erm, okay, how about, we tax banker's bonuses, raise income tax on asylum seekers, ban footballers from roasting people and we use the income to buy bunny rabbits? Yes? Help us out here, we have nothing!!"
"I don't hit my staff. Vote for us. Change, global, global, change. Change, collabaration, change. Difference. What? You'd prefer actual sentences rather than just meaningless words. Okay I'll get back to you. The sentences will be about banker's bonuses too. Oooooh, you'll love that won't you. Yeeeessss...."

Blah blah blah. Pointless. All of them.
