House built on top of railway tunnel - would it put you off???

Think into the future though ... is this line likely to be upgraded? Faster, noisier trains maybe? Bigger station?"Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0

I don't think it would ever be upgraded to be honest. It's 2nd last stop on the line and it's only one track each direction. There is another track serving the south of our town so no need for it to be extended either. The house is close to the station and almost all trains stop there, so they are going relatively slowly. I doubt they'd close the station either because they have recently done a lot of work on the bridge over the line at the station etc.
I'm struggling to decide. I think part of me is scared to spend money :rotfl:.0 -
I can just imagine the OP in bed one night when the other half says "did the earth move for you"? Yes honey it was the 23:28 Eastbound going through the tunnel ;p
LOL. You could tell when the express train went through, all the ornaments on the windowsill rattled. :eek:They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
