Do internal candidates always get the job?

Well done! :T0

I got my current job as an external up against 3 internals. Sometimes I think the internals are only interviewed to keep them happy - they may not be genuine candidates!
Having said all that, I only discovered 6 months in that I'd been up against my now colleagues. 2 of them were lovely to me but one, who has since left, was so weird with me and now I know why! Going up against internals can make things tricky when you get in post if it's a small company.0 -
Oh well done OP!!0

Congratulations!! Good luck in the new role0

If you are external you don't stand a chance because that already have someone internal earmarked.
If you are internal you don't stand a chance because they only interview you to keep you happy but they really want someone external.
Who is supposed to get the job then?
And why is it always someone else's fault if someone is not successful?0
