Hi, I never usually venture in here, its all a bit scary!
Anyway, I used to have "professor franklin" photo editing on my pc but it got wiped in a clean up and I cant find the cd to reinstall.
It wasnt great but it was a freebie years ago and di my very limited needs just fine.
Can anybody point me in the direction of something similar please? ie: free and quite simple to use? I only really need the basic tools of crop and resize, sometimes colour adjustment.
Thanks. Arty.

I've always been a gimp fan, but it possibly has more features than are needed. I have heard that paint.net is simpler but not used it http://www.getpaint.net/0

I use Picasa and Gimp.
Picasa is very easy to use and will do all you've mentioned (picasa.google.com)
I'm still learning to use Gimp. It's a steep learnng curve but there are lots of free tutorials and support on the web.
If you prefer to use Prof Frank there is a Free download of Professor Franklin's Instant Photo Effects 2.0 here:
http://download.cnet.com/Professor-Franklin-s-Instant-Photo-Effects/3000-2192_4-10379769.html
But my suggestion would be Picasa (https://www.picassa.google.com) it's free and easy to use.
Also have a look at Gimp. Then you can teach me how to use it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
thank you all, I'm going to try and use Picasa.
(Actually I'm so useless that I have downloaded it , just now, but I dont know where to find it on my pc!) Doh!
OK , it seems you have to install something after you download it, I may be on to something here!Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
Once installed it should be pinned to the Start menu. When I press the Start buttin on my computer Picasa is listed in the left hand column.
The program itself is stored in "C:\Program Files\Google\Picasa3"
Again on my computer Picassa will open if I double click any photo in MyPictures.0 -
Surely you're not thinking of writing viruses that self install :rotfl::rotfl:thank you all, I'm going to try and use Picasa.
