got to be honest I think some of you are taking rene's comment completely the wrong way
I can see her point...if you havent already got a big stack of buttons at home then the cost of all the bits for these button pew ends would Im sure be more than a couple of flowers
So while it might be a money saving thing for the op, for a lot of people it wouldnt be
anywho...I think they look fabi can see why you are only making 4 tho they must be taking ages to make
I have made lots of stuff for our wedding, but decided to draw the line at the pew ends (espeacially as the church has about 40 pews lol) so I ordered nice simple bows from a nice lady on ebay (wedding fairies I think)Married on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0 -
that's fantastic, not the same way I tried to make them! I might have a go now, thank you so muchClaire_Bear wrote: »:eek::eek: :rotfl:
Love the pew ends though, they're definately something I'd like - sort of shabby chic/vintagey/crafty goodness :rotfl:And your bouquet is amazing!
lol, we are having a vintage/shabby chic wedding, so it all hopefully fits together!
here's part of our invite in the process of being made..I dont see how buttons can be more expensive than a overpriced fresh flower arrangement personally? Very odd comment considering she wanted her bridesmaids to wet themselves with excitment over her wedding dress and was disappointed when they didnt, and its not even like she spent hours making said wedding dress - crldnll at least has a right to be proud of the pew ends, given the time and effort spent making them! They are lovely, well done crafty you!
thank you so much0 -
Thanks yellowbug I understand both points of view
I did have a few buttons at home, plus just happened to walk into a charity shop and find bundles of them which was quite lucky! lol, I wouldn't have considered making pew ends if I had 40!! glad there are only 8 in my little church! x
