NTL VS2000 problems.

Following a call and message on 1571, the phone has been flashing that there is a message (light on base and envelope on phone). However the phone's answer machine always been turned off. Turned on, checked (nothing) and even deleted but still flashing.
Hasn't cleared with subsequent internal/external calls.
Am at a loss!

*update, pulled power plug for min or two, light now off but envelope flashing still.*

Tried manual online but no help!

I had same problem & found your post.

Pulled out power from base, and pulled out one of the batteries from the handset.

Put power back in base first, then replaced battery in handset - voila! No more flashing lights or envelopes.

Had already tried removing battery, but removing base station power too was the key.

Thanks, I managed to get the light to stop flashing by pulling out the mains, but the message icon hung around a day or so before clearing mysteriously!
