M11 Sat morning?

Hello,
Our 4.30am Easyjet bus was cancelled this morning and consequently we had to pay over £100 as we missed our train for which we had advance tickets. We were told around 4.35 that there were long delays on the M11 towards Stansted and so the driver had overused her hours and so had to cancel the bus. There were three buses in the car park and one drove off without passengers at 5am.
Now when we eventually went on the 5.15 am bus (which got lost and the 15 mins he spent finding his way took away or second chance of catching the train) and there was no evidence at all of an accident on the M11.
Was anyone around this time and saw anything? We are going to complain to Easybus and I strongly think their excuse is a lie so any info either way will rest my mind.
