Hi,
Just sorting through some old paperwork, and have come across a share certificate for lastminute.com. I know it is probably now worthless, or as good as, but how can I go about finding out? I'd rather check before just throwing it away!
Many thanks.

Sounds like it could worth something depending on how many you had, I presume you can still reclaim the money but did you forget until now?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lastminute.comShareholders at the time of the purchase by private equity were compulsorily bought out at a deal price of 165p per share - a 215p per share loss for anyone holding them since IPO.

Perhaps it'll become a collector's piece like those certificates for railway companies that went bust in the last century.
Maybe I should hold onto my old Cadbury's certs...0 -
Hmm that's interesting. I was all for throwing it out! Well my husband bought them when we were at uni, and I guess it has kind of been lost in our archived files until now.
I doubt that I could get that money now though as it was such a long time ago. I'll perhaps try to contact this Sabre Holdings, can't hurt to send a letter over.
Thanks.0
