I am on the verge of looking to get into the scrappage scheme, I know it has been extended to the end of March as long as they do not run out of funds. I am looking for a) the best free finance I can find and b) the best deal on a Citroen, Mercedes or even a BMW if the deal was right. In fact ANY car really that isnt a tricycle ! Who else has done this recently (one of my friends has but she didnt need finance and bought a Hyundai ) I believe.) Anyone got any ideas ? I would need 5 door hatchback with 5 gears and 2litre engine approx. and Happy Birthday to my son Dan xxxx:bdaycake:

Theres a golf of difference between a low rent brand like Citroen and then jumping up to BMW and Mercedes and a lot in between
I would set your self a budget then you can make a list (with help from the forum nerds) of 4 or 5 cars that you like. Then go and test drive them and buy the one you like the most.0 -
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. You are going to have to move sharpish to beat the deadline arent you.
You want a hatchback with a bit of comfort but how much do you want to pay for it? You have such a wide choice there, from the Hyundai - which was the favourite cheap scrappage car to a Mercedes??0 -
You also need to have a car to scrap.
On a BM or Merc I think you will not get a decent deal if you want finance as a cash buyer then maybe its possible.0 -
There is no such thing as free finance, you will pay for it in the price of the car.
You obviosly have not done much research into this, do you have a car to trade in that meets te criteria?0 -
