Is the Post Office any good?

I have been looking for a phone/broadband package.
Sky I could go with but I don't want to be tied in to sky TV.
Talk talk I could go with, as I have broadband with them at the moment £12 a month
But I have been looking at the post office £20 a month free evening calls. Weekend calls include free to 40 countries. And also free to mobiles at weekend that seems a good deal?
Any comment?
I just wonder why Martin has not mentioned this in his telephone section?

It has been mentioned before by MArtin, and got good reviews, and is also quite well rated with Which? but like everything else its only good if what it offers suits your needs.
I'm on Post Office for landline, because I work during the days, so the evening and weekend calls are ideal for me, plus the mobiles are a bonus, the international calls, personally, I havent made any on the deal, but its a nice thing to have for 'free'
I'm happy that its no minimum contract on the HomePhone as well, and that I get to stay on the BT network should i decide to go back to BT.
Broadband wise though, for my useage, there's better, thats why I went with O2.... but overall, no major complaints with them. Like everyone else regarding customer service, people will only post about bad experiences on a message board, from a personal point though have never had any bother with them...horses for courses etc
If their package meets your need, go for it, you could even take my account number and we could get 10 quid each on our accounts for recommend a friend

Skint, but I have a plan.... an MSE Plan!!!0 -
Would this encourage you? Its now £12 odd a month same terms! I just got out of BT's rolling contract because of the change of evening call times and signed with Post office, was thinking of changing my broadband from Madasafish also for the unlimited although Madasafish are very good
would post a link but it won't let me as I am a noob0 -
Be careful with leaving Madasafish: They will try and sting you for all sorts of unnecessary cancellation charges.
Also, I switched from Madasafish to TalkTalk a month ago and my internet speed has almost doubled without me changing anything else. I am even using the same router as before.0 -
It's okay and I'm happy I made the move from BT (CS agents lied to me).
Only annoying bit so far is that PO charged me for Caller Display which apparently was something I was getting for free from BT so specify from the outset that you don't want any features included.0
