We brought a 52 inch flat screen TV last April from Comet and the Pixels have started to go.
When we brought it the kept delaying the delivery until 3 weeks later when they sent us the one from the shop floor and the guy said if we had any problems to ring back.
I rang yesterday and got passed from pillar to post, they even give me Sharps number to get them to come out.
Anyways theyve got an engineer 'supposedly' coming out this Tuesday whats they best way to get them to sort it? will the replace with a new one?

The trouble with dead pixels is that a certain percentage of dead pixels is deemed as acceptable. At least that's how it was a few years ago, not sure if it's changed.
Some info here http://www.lcds4less.com/industry-standards.shtml although it is not for the UK.0 -
I've not had an issue with dead pixels but in general Sharp are pretty good and resolving issues in my experience. If they do find that the number of dead pixels are outside the norm then they may just replace the panel there and then rather than replace the whole TV.0
