Is there a limit on how many of the handsets you can buy? Want to buy about 10 to make it really worthwhile. (the e2save and cashmyphone idea)

No, sorry, you're wrong. Having been a manager in Phones4u for 4 years I know for a fact its impossible to block a top up in such a way that it will only work with one sim card. I also know for a fact that any sim can be used with any unlocked phone, with the exception of sim cards and handsets belonging to the 3 network.

The only thing I'd be worried about with this, is if they are pre-loading the top up to the sim before they send the phone out, as that would be the only way they could guarantee the top up goes onto the phone.

If its a Virgin mobile - you can register the sim against any IEMI - ie your current phone.
THEN ring Virgin and they will move the balance of any registered sim to any of your other registered sims. All have to be registered against your account.
ALSO all registered sims earn you on line rewards ( £10 against a new phone was my last reward )
Also look out for good numbers on sims - worth selling on ebay as golden number. anything that looks or sounds cool.

I've dun it quite a few times. Carrie.

I'm a bit confused here (easily done). I was looking at the K330 Black on E2Save, as it has a camera and Bluetooth which is really all I need in a phone. Wondered though if because it was Talk Mobile which is owned by Carphone Warehouse is that would mean it wasn't unlocked? Thanks very much.
  • The SE K330 will be unlocked. CPW buy handsets from the manufacturer directly.

Can I just warn others that I bought the Nokia 1661 with o2. Registered with o2 via another mobile as there is no credit on the sim card, awaited a few days for my £10 that was suppose to be on the sim card it never came.

You need to top the sim card up and make a phone call before your sim is properly registered with o2 and then you'll get your £10.

I find this out the hard with with a call to esave with my newly top up mobile left me with a balance of £3.20 this really hasn't been a very money saving offer after that call to e2save as I am still waiting for the £10 to be put on the simcard I bought with e2save.

Not having a go at OP but I'm cross with e2save for not making this clear that you need to top up and use the sim card before. I thought I would get a phone ready to use with £10 already on.

Thanks for this. I have been avoiding calling them because of the cost of the call, but I didn't get my credit either and I've had the phone since last week. That's really terrible if you have to buy more credit to use the credit you bought with the phone. Surely they should have to advertise this?
