    Wickes and b & q do a fairly cost effective flat packed range.

    I have the Wickes take away units in my utility room. For the money they are good so far.
  • Howdens supply to trade only. But if you happen to have a tame builder around, they are the cheapest. Their showrooms are open to the public but you can't *technically* buy from them.
  • Wickes are definitely the cheapest. Far cheaper than Howdens, there is a 30%off sale at Wickes at the moment. Just ordered a kitchen about 10 minutes ago.

    It's always worth comparing when there's a sale, yes. Howdens have a budget kitchen at £177 plus VAT to trade at the moment, that's base units, worktop and so on. Remember Howden's invoces have a massive figure at the top then once you read down it gives the 7O% discount or whatever.

    Anyway, only of any use if you have a tame builder, like I say. (hurrah for my dad!!!}:j(sorry that sounds a lot more smug that I ought to be.}

    Wickes is usually better than B&Q. And I went into Homebase's "furniture event" last week (furniture event? Tosh!} and the prices were still loonie.
