Please help - need refund from Travelocity for flights

I bought tickets to South Africa on credit card from Travelocity. I need to cancel these. How can I get a refund from Travelocity? Has anyone got any advice? Their T&Cs say no, but I know they could if they were nice. Do I have nay other way, via my credit card company or anything at all? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They may just say claim on your travel insurance.

ah... travel insurance.... well I was going to get that separately after I bought the flights (because it is usually cheaper) ... but I didn't :( My credit card is no help either. Are travelocity able to refund if I speak to the "right" person? (i.e. someone helpful who may make an exception)?

Very doubtful you'll get a refund.

I know of a lady that booked flights going from Manchester to a city in the USA. The flights were cheap, only after going through the booking process and after paying for the flights she found out that the flights were from Manchester NEW HAMPSHIRE.

Despite speaking to customer services and explaining the mistake, she didn't get a refund!

    If no refund
could sell them on ebay ??
( would need to look at costs of name change , if allowed)

I have once got a refund by sending in the tickets (booked them direct with BA) with a begging letter (I had accidently booked a flight to Orlando when I needed to be flying to Tampa) Travelocity tend to be very strict about these things however - it was in the terms & conditions when you booked at the end of the day. You should get at least a refund of any taxes you have paid.
