Continental Airlines Problem

Hi everybody.

Hoping someone can help, I cannot find the info on their website. A few months ago, I booked a return flight for two (myself and my dad). Since then my mum has become very ill, therefore my dad will not be able to make the trip (which is in september). Does anyone know if it is possible to change the name on his ticket so that a friend of mine can go instead? Is there some sort of admin charge for this? etc

Any help would be greatly received and appreciated.
Thanks
if i had known then what i know now

Sorry to hear of your mum's illness.

Take a look at this page
    http://www.continental.com/travel/policies/refund/default.asp
There is the customer services email at the bottom of the page - or you can cancel without penalty!

I would still contact Continental customer services to see what they can do for you .

If you dont ask you dont get! Sometimes the airlines charge £50 to transfer tickets. If all else fails, can you get a refund via insurance?

Good Luck - and let us know how you get on!

Give them a call. I had to change tickets once because of an illness in my party of 3. If you can provide a doctor's note, they can usually work something out for you. He may be able to rebook, or have a credit, which can be applied to a new ticket bought for your friend. I do not know if they will let you transfer the ticket over though.
